About Judy
I started photographing in the early 1980's. At the time I was running an art gallery in Houston, Texas. I had been a painter but with the gallery I did not have the time to paint. So, I decided I really wanted to capture the moments in my life. I studied with several professional in the field. My first encounter was in Arles, France where I took a workshop with Maine Photography Workshops. We were taught to go out and shoot on the streets and find something that interested me. It was like a dream. I was running around in the small villages of France photographing people and things. I was hooked on photography. I continue to learn and travel photographing what I saw. My travels have lead me to Egypt,Jordan, China, Africa, Europe, Mexico and Indonesia, plus the United States. I have been published nationally and exhibited nationally. Presently, I live in New Mexico and have a studio and still work on situational happenings.
